  1. Put your trust in print, not in the Internet.  Note that "The Pants,"

who recommended the Internet has a plethora or punctuation

    errors.

  2. Reading is a great way to do this.  You will see the use of grammar and punctuation in context.   You should also have a grammar/punctuation book to hand so you can refer to this to demonstrate the point - I would recommend a book called Write Right.  It's very easy to read and has useful examples of what is correct and what is incorrect.  You can buy this on Amazon.  Thesaurus would also be handy - this will give you an example of other word variations and will help widen the vocabulary.

  3. Your brothers teacher must be a bad teacher he/she should help him if hes getting stuck, well look for stuff on the internet when you have found a good enough site print all of the pages and let him study it help him if he gets stuck.

  4. cant buy those self teach books? you could google some educational books for his age. maybe getting him to read more could help?

  5. There are various books you can buy on the internet which will simply give him lots of practice in punctuation.  If you go to www.edco.com or it may be www.edco.co.uk lol this website is where schools within Northern Ireland buy their educational tools, however they also sell books for England, Scotland and Wales.  Unfortunately you cannot purchase books from them as only schools can, but if you see a book that would be useful you could try and order it from amazon or somewhere

  6. Try the links below for basic punctuation.

    I hope that's clear?

  7. First and foremost, ensure that you are using correct grammar when speaking with him!  We all learn from example and follow the trends of those around us.  Then I too would recommend additional reading; it helps with grammar, punctuation, and spelling as well.  Also, if you cannot afford to purchase a large number of books, check your local libraries for workbooks and textbooks.  Good luck, and thank you for caring about him enough to want to help!

  8. Use stuff on the internet. I don't know if you live in the UK, but BBC Bitesize is excellent.

  9. Get him to read books. Lots and lots of them! Then he'll absorb correct grammar, spelling and punctuation without trying. The Harry Potter series would be a good place to start.
