Question:

How do I hide items I've bought on ebay?

You know on the feedback menu, you see the ebayer's feedback and then the item no and link next to it, and you can go to that item. For some people, however, the item is listed as Private, and you don't know what it is. How do I make my own feedback's links private?

Thanks

  1. It isn't possible.

When you see that on someone's feedback it shows that the item they bought was sold using a 'private listing'.

This means that when the seller created the listing, they chose to hide the identities of all their bidders (this is different from the 'bidder1' 'bidder2' thing that eBay brought in recently, supposedly to protect us all from scammers).

The only way you can hide your feedback is to make it all private which you probably don't want to do, but if you do, got to the Feedback Forum (link at the bottom of any eBay page) and take it from there.

A different solution is to create another id for yourself and keep it secret, then anything you buy on that id will still be visible to the eBay community as a whole if they choose to look (although as they have no idea who you really are, does that matter?), but anyone that you do know will never see (unless you let them know the id).
