When I send e-mail to my Yahoo groups, or when group members look me up on the member list, I do NOT want my Yahoo I.D. to show. I only want my real first name and my e-mail address to appear.

  1. some groups allow e-mail hiding, and when they do allow this and you hide yours, you can only post from off the group.

comsider using an alias off your primary, when doing this, that profile will appear, but the address you're using for e-mail will stll appear.

for alias- go to your profile- click view my profiles (top of page)- click create a new public profile- follow steps. then go to group homepage and click edit membership- it will list under

    <Yahoo! Profile

Select the Yahoo! Profile you would like to use for this group. This profile will be used to identify you when you access the group's Web features.>

    sellect alias- click save changes

  2. You can't hide it, but you can make another one and leave it blank, then just pick the one you want to use for a particular group.
