Basicially, I have a desk but not a type of desk where you can put the wires behind it so you can see all the wires underneath the desk which makes my room look really messy, and I can't bare that. Has anyone got any links of things I can buy or any good sujestions?

thanks

  1. you could put a large picture up against them, or a poster

  2. go to home depot and get wire shielding

  3. buy a cable tidy from JML http://www.jmldirect.com/Cable-Tidy-PC89... £4.99 plus delivery you can buy it in grey or black on that website their is a video on how to put it around your cables it looks easy

  4. you can put it through the ceiling

  5. disconnect them all and put them in a drawer, hey presto! no more untidy cables!

  6. I've used plastic closet pole covers for the wire runs themselves - they are split, so easy to tuck wires therein, and come in a variety of colors.  Plus are really cheap.

  7. I cannot offer you a link, but I recently used this type of solution at a church I work for in an effort to conceal a bunch of microphone cables and such..

All of the wires are going to have some amount of slack, unfortunately.  So, just a simple run 'em through a tube doesn't always do the trick.  What I could suggest is perhaps running them through a tube to get them down to the floor level and you can use a shoe box (that perhaps you paint black) with holes in it to keep the slack.  For example, remove the lid and make U-shaped notches along the top brim of the box (not the lid.)  Then a wire can pass through the box and leave a coil of slack inside.  Then, re-cap the shoe box and the lid will keep the wires pressed into the U-shaped slots.  You can do a similar solution with other material, but this is quick and easy.

P.S.  I would steer clear of putting any heat producing power supplies inside of the box.  They need room to breathe.  (i.e. Xbox 360's power  brick)

  8. get some zip ties and tie all the cords together in the back so it is just one big cord?
