  1. You have to elevate the butt and stike down on the ball....for it to be a legal shot.....if you hit underneath it ...it is called "scooping" and a foul......line up the shot like no ball in the way.......then elevate the butt and strike down on the cue ball.......PRACTICE....PRACTICE.....PRAC... an easy shot!!

  2. practice practice and more practice. A good thing to do is get a ball and lie on your back and just work on your form. Thats something to do inside, and just shoot around all of the time and in a few weeks you will be draining them !

  3. just above center elevated cue about 35 deg dont be afraid to hit the ball to hard when you can get it air born you can go for accuracy Hillbilly C. from hickory NC can draw off a jump shot dont expect to do that to soon

  4. you put your question on the pool catergrie but it sounds like a basketball question you should be more specific next time you ask a question. But if you want to hit this shot aim the cue stick at the bottom of the cue ball you should practice this shot on a old used pool table because you have a chance of ripping the felt.  The key is to practice alot if you want to hit this trick shot

  5. To execute a jump shot legally, you have to hit down into the cue ball causing it to bounce off the slate.  Scooping it or lifting it with your cue is illegal.  Elevate the back end of your cue so it makes about a 45 degree angle with the table bed.  Aim through the center point of the cue ball or just below it.  Keep your grip loose, but hit firmly through the ball.  Don't be worried about hitting the table, it takes a good solid hit to get the ball up in the air.  Try jumping over a piece of chalk or something first and work your way up to a full ball.
