How do I hit the ball on the Yahoo messenger pool game?

I know how to aim, but not how to use the meter to hit.

To hit the ball, while holding down the right mouse button, click and hold on the end of the cue.  Drag your mouse away from the ball to move the cue.  The further away you pull, the harder the shot or on the other extreme, the less distance you pull away from the cue ball, you will get a softer (shorter) shot.

You mentioned that you knew how to aim, which is great!.  There is a "fine-tune" added feature to aiming which someone taught me to which I will also pass on.  Once you get the cue in about the proper angle set up (just let go the left mouse button), then to change the angle in smaller increments hold down your "Ctrl" key with your left hand.  Then, with your right hand use the left or right arrow keys to move the cue in smaller increments, until you are happy with its position.  Let go the Ctrl key.  Right click on the end of the cue and shoot (as per above instructions).
