How do I hook a "normal" Washing Machine to the kitchen Faucet?

  2. most washing machines need pressurised hoses and are fitted with a 3/4 thread which can NOT be connected to a kitchen tap (faucet) directly.

    Most DIY stores sell a 3/4" self-tapping connection that fits to the WATER pipe leading to the tap and the machine needs to be fitted to there.

    a bodged connection involving rubber and Duck tape will NOT work as when the machine solenoid switches the flow off the pressure surge will force the hose off the faucet/tap.

    you NEED a proper pressurised connection with 3/4 s***w fitting and shut-off!
