How do I hook up an "older " VCR to a new HDset ?

I only have a coax and white & red (4) inputs in back of VCR

  1. If your HD set has a coax connector, then use that (coax carries both audio and video signals).  Usually, the red and white (which are for audio) also have either a yellow or an S-Video along with them for video.  If your machine doesn't have that, then the coax is your only choice.

    I ran into this problem when I bought an HD monitor (without a tuner).  I then realized no tuner meant no coax connector.  So I got rid of my old VCR and got a VCR/DVD combo that had more updated connection options.
