I have a Dell 42" LCD TV with seemingly every input/output slots you could imagine. I've also got Dell XPS 410 and a GeForce 8600 GT 512 MB DDR2 PCI-Express Graphics Card.

I want to know how to use my TV as the monitor.

If you could just post what cable/cords and any converters I might need, and if there's anything else required.

Thanks.

  1. Depends on the particular video card.

If your card has an hdmi connection, you need an hdmi cable.

If your video card has a 's' video out, you just need an 's' video cable.

Since it's a fairly new t.v., you most likely would not need any adapters.

The video card software should have a control panel that will allow you to configure your output options.

btw(The 's' video out is the round one, the hdmi is sort of rectangular)
