How do I hook up my XBOX 360 to my Home Theater System?

I had another question here somewhere, but I worded it badly so here's a better one.

First of all, I don't have a cable box. I have a cable going straight from the wall to the tv.

My equipment:

- XBOX 360

- JVC DVD Digital Theater Sytem TH-52

- An HDMI cable that came with the XBOX 360, that has an optical cable port, but I don't have an optical cable.

- A cable with yellow, white, red (I think it's called an RCA cable).

- A Viewsonic TV (If you need the serial number, I'll give it later).

Right now I have the HDMI cable connecting my XBOX 360 and TV (I'm using all 6 cables). So now I have a red and white cables open in the AV/S audio in port. I also have red and white ports open in an audio out port.

On the Home Theater box, I have an AUX in, an S-Video port, and

green, blue, red component ports, all waiting for cables to be in them. It also has an optical digital in port.

So yeah, how do I get the Home theater to work with the 360?

Thanks. :D

  1.    Optical cable from 360 to Home theater system.

  2. If you want to have the audio for your Xbox 360 going through your home theater system, then hook it up the following way. First, make sure that your Home Theater System has an red, white, and yellow RCA input and output. Also, make sure that your TV has the red, white, and yellow RCA input. First, have the RCA cable coming from the Xbox 360, going into the RCA input in your Home Theater System. Then, have another RCA cable coming from the RCA output in your Home Theater System, going into the RCA input in your TV.

  3. It's simple . you already have a picture and audio to tv via hdmi. connect the red and white audio out from xbox to an open audio input on the receiver and select that input on the receiver.
