How do I hook up my dish network receivers?

I'm moving to a new house where 2 dishnetwork dishes are already on the roof and I can see a dishnetwork box in my basement. Can I just take my receivers from my old home to the new one and hook them up there myself? If yes, how do I do that?

  1. Please don't try it your self if any thing goes wrong you will be fired. Ofcourse you can bring dish network box from you old house but don't try to hook it your self

  2. If your a paying subscriber then you can most definitley connect your exisiting subscribed receiver to the dishes at your new house. It is a simple as plugging the cable from the dish to the back of the reciever-It will have a symbol of the dish at the connector.

You may want to be sure the dishes are actually pointed to Dish Birds and that any switches on the system are setup correctly. You will have a setup menu that you can check the signal and choose the switch types, ie sw21 or others.

110 and 119 are the birds to align to.
