Question:

How do I hook up my modem in order to have cable internet in all rooms in the house that have cable outlets?

There is some sort of connection arrangement in the basement which can hook up the cable inlets for each room to this one group of outlets, but I don't know the arrangement of connections I need to hook up the modem to this...The cable guy fed the main cable line into the basement for us too...just so you know.

  1. You have to have a router, preferable wireless, that you plug into your cable modem.  Usually your cable company has one that you can pay for, but it is better to go buy one.  They cost anywhere from $50 to $150.  All your computers have to have wireless capabilities or else you will have to get some long cables hooking to your cable router
