How do I hook up speakers to a headunit?

I'm doing a car project tomorrow and I only have experience in hooking up speakers to external amps, so how do you hook up the wires from speakers to the headunits? Just go to the harness in back and plug them into the open slots?

If your using new speaker wire then do not connect those to the adaptor, connect those to the adaptor that plugs directly into the head unit. This is not rocket science here. It is rather easy to do.

white and white with black stripe is right front  gray and gray with black stripe is left  front  green and green with black stripe is right rear purple and purple with black stripe is left rear   this is the same on all after market decks and adapter harnesses   that should tell you all you need to know   (there is a sticker on after market and some stock decks that show color codes for all connections
