How do I hook up the Sony SSB1000 speakers to my Sanyo TV?

Do i need to buy speaker wire or anything else to connect the two devices or is the TV the wrong place to hook up the speakers in the first place? My TV is model#: DS24425 (Sanyo Flat screen, bought from WalMart a little over a year ago). I haven't yet bought the speakers, but if I were to venture that route to get better-sounding audio, I'd like to know if it'd be a wate of $ or not, since I'm on a "fixed" income...~Jonathan

Dont waist your money.  To hook up speakers properly you need to hook them up to an amp and not the tv.
