How do I hook up the VCR/DVD with the converter box?

Question

I recently installed our new digital stream convert box and that working fine, but now I would like to add our VCR/DVD player.

I hook up the composite cables red,yellow, white, from the out going VCR/DVD player to the in going red,yellow, white on back of the TV. When I tried to play a tape I got nothing.

So I am assuming I did some wrong in the hook up. HELP!!

Did you select input on the TV?  If not select the input or the Av input or whatever your TV calls it.

This answer makes the assumption that the converter box is connected to the antena/cable input of the TV and you watch by tuning the TV to channel 3 (or 4).
