How do I hot wax my snowboard?

ive snowboarded for about years now and im pretty good, but ive never hot waxed my board. ive always brought it to shops. so i was wondering how do i hot wax mt board so i cn do it whenever i want.

lay your board down... burn wax over your board... after you drip it on there...use something flat (preferably metal) and shave it off with the blade facing forward as you pull back

use parawax and a old iron and melt the wax on the bottom of your board, then run the iron over bottom of board to smooth out wax, let harden the scrape of using a windshield scrapper.

All the answers will work, but I like to grate the wax through an old cheese grater I have. Then place the small pieces all over the board and then just like ironing a shirt run the iron all over the bottom of the board. do a small area first so that you get used to how much wax you need. It will wear off on its own so You don't have to scrap any off unless you get some huge glob. (that's where the grater comes in handy) Once you get used to it you will want to wax about every 5th time you go out. (sharpening the metal edge with a file lightly will also help you "tune" up your board

first you ned to buy the equipment you need an iron, wax, and something to scrape the wax off you can get all of this stuff at any snowboard shop then you melt some wax on the bottom of your board then you go over it with the iron making shure that the wax melts all over the board smoothly finally you let it dry and then scrape it off

Set up your skis on the sawhorses with the bindings facing the

ground. If you have a large cardboard box, cut out a hole for the binding

and set your skis on top of the box.

2Step Two Click to enlargePlace the newspaper under your skis to catch any stray wax

drippings.

3Step Three Click to enlargeHeat up the iron to a medium temperature and place the wax block

against the iron. You want the iron to be just hot enough to melt and

drip the wax onto the skis, but not so hot that it burns the wax. If you

are getting alot of smoke, then your iron is too hot.

4Step FourDrip the wax evenly along the ski, with about 2 drops per inch.

5Step FiveLet the wax cool completely.

6Step SixPlace the iron direcly on the bottom of the skis and start to melt

the drops of wax so that a thin coat of wax remains on the base of the

ski.

7Step SevenLet the wax dry again.

8Step Eight Click to enlargeUsing your scraper, scrape away as much of the excess wax from the

bottom of the ski as you can.

9Step NineBrush the bottom of the skis.
