  1. Ok here we go. My husband's friend, imported a car from America. He travelled to America and went to a dealership in New York ( it was a Dodge Ram, Massive truck). The dealership arranged for it to be exported from America to Australia. It cost him about $10,000 US to get it exported. Most dealership can arrange from the manufacturer to export it to Australia Via Shipping Container for a fee. These cost are for it to go through customs on both sides. The only way I know is to travel there and find out what is need to export a car, it might also be a good idea to find out what is the requirements for customs here as well. look over the internet, there may be some on the internet that are will to export it out.

There are more thing to consider, like getting rego for it in Australia.the thing is you will have to put it through the pit (Blue Slip) then a green slip, Pink slip and put in a reqest form to get new plates. You may have to covert the driving system over to ours. My husband's Friend had to convert it over because it was a new model. For the more older cars, they may be able to get exemption from convertion where as, the new car can't.

    hope this helped
