Question:

How do I improve my ACT score?

If there is anyone who has done worse on the ACT than the SAT and others too...

I'll be honest-- I got a 2040 on SAT. But I got a 28 on ACT. WHY is this? I'm practicing the ACT by taking tests every week and reading some tips, but I still get 28. Is that just the best I can do? Is there no way for me to improve? What am I doing wrong? I'll admit that I LOVED the SAT compared with the ACT... its sections are shorter and its easier to pace myself with the timing. But please tell me what I can do to improve! If you were in a similar situation, you might be able to connect better and make me stop feeling so DUMB!

Thank you to ANYONE who helps (I have the ACT test coming on September!!!!!!!)

  1. I would say to check out a Kaplan ACT book and get reading; that's what I plan on doing. I received a 33 on the ACT my first time around, and now I'm looking for a 35. The opposite that happened to you happened to me. I only scored a 2000 on my SAT but a 33 on my ACT.
