How do I improve my pike??

I need to get my pike perfected within the next couple of hours. I can do it pretty well, but I need to get my legs up higher. Any suggestions??

  1. stretch your pike, run enough to warm your legs up, then stretch again. any stretch that does the hamstrings will help. when you are piking punch off the ground realy hard to give yourself more air time.


  2. ok first u want to stretch really really good then jog around a track(most highskools have one) and then stretch again for 10 to 15 minutes then sit on the ground and spread ur legs and put ur palms on the ground close to ur pelvis and lift one leg and circle it 20 times then do the other and then do both it will cramp and hurt but after than do some jumping jacks then do it again. thats what we did at camp if you do it right it will help alot

  3. Try stretching in the pike position and when you do your jump really try to use your arms for momentum.
