How do I improve my reading comprehension?

Read books that have study guides available.  Then see how well what you comprehended coincides with what the study guides say.  With practice it will improve.

The best ways that I see to improve your reading is by making sure you read slowly, take in every detail. Ask yourself questions as you go through the writing. If you have to you can reread however many times it takes to grasp the information.

If I were you I would start reading more (read everything in sight). Read slowly and at the end of the chapter try to recall what just happened. If you can't than reread the chapter.  Or try taking a reading comprehension class at the local community college.
