How do I improve my tone on the bassoon?

U might've seen it, but I'd reccomend  the Wiessenborn book...  It helped me alot, and every teacher I've had reccomended it..

I play a couple of different mouth instruments and my instructors always say it is like having a golf ball in the back of your throat... Try that.

For woodwind there isn't as much as there is to brass but try to play long tones. And also, I just remembered this, move up on the reed. USe the whole thing. Not just part of it.
