Question:

How do I incorporate more protein in my diet?

I'm on a 1200-1400 calorie diet and would like to get more protein (I'm currently not breaking 30%). What are some good, high-protein foods?

I'd like it if it weren't a shake or protein bar--but if that's what I have to do, can you recommend a brand?

  1. All meat, poultry, and fish are good sources. So are beans, tofu, and milk!

I like the Rite-Aid brand soy shake mixes (they're fairly inexpensive). But I'm allergic to milk, I'm sure the whey based ones are better.

  2. You can buy protein bars from the health food store.

  3. any kind of meat or peanut butter

  4. Eggs, meat (chicken, beef, turkey), beans, almonds, fish, tuna and cottage cheese are all good sources of protein.

Musashi is a good shake and protein bar brand.
