  1. i do not know how much your score can be rasied but this will defeinitely help you out. i went to http://offur.com/fixcredit , a totally free service that helps you raise your credit and create a plan to keep it up. its pretty helpful.

  2. Pay off the people you owe.

  3. Have you considered using one of those authorized user tradeline programs. They are very affordable and would get you well on your way to having better credit. My mom used it and not only was able to open other accounts, but her score jumped 51 points. Check out the free evaluation form at www.totaldebtsolutionsllc.com They can help.

  4. Pay down your credit card bills and request for a credit limit increase.  The credit card balance divided by the credit limit is the ratio that plays a big role in your credit score.

Do not buy a new car.  Car loans bring down your credit score at the onset.  Once you have paid it down and the loan balance is much lower than the beginning loan amount, it'll look much better.  If you can pay off an auto loan, do it.

Pay off your charged off accounts.  When creditors look at your credit score, they will also look at your credit report to see what else stands out.

If you have like 10 credit cards, close the most recent ones that you don't use.  Too many open revolving accounts is bad.

Do not close ones that you've had for like 5 or 10 years.  Revolving accounts with the longest time being opened should be left opened since creditors will look at how long you've had your accounts opened.

Lastly, go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com yearly to see your credit reports and/or credit scores.

Do not apply for anymore credit or have credit checks done by 3rd party (when you move they do credit check on you for example, or if you apply for a credit card or a car loan).  Each time someone does a credit check on you, your score goes down.  By going to the above website, it will NOT affect your credit score.

  5. Try getting a department store card...

Buy something using the card, and then pay the bill off (on time) every month.

    That should raise it...

  6. If you have a credit card that has been used recently that's good enough...just stop using for the next few months so you don't have a balance and you're debt to income ratio will come down. If you have any revolving accounts, pay them down as much as possible. Do NOT apply for anymore credit.

Keep your bill payments current/on time
