im 17, Im a little skinny and people think I can run fast and last long, I can run fast but I run out of gas very easily. When I try jogging for long distances I start slowing down after about 5 minutes.

The last time I really ran regularly was in PE 2-3 years ago.

What happened that made my endurance go down?

and what can I do to increase it?

  1. Keep in shape and try to replace your shoes.

I've recently found great shoes at:

    hope that helps,

  2. Jog everyday, I'm sure there will be an improvement.

  3. your endurance went away because you havent been exercising or running reguarly, you are now out of shape. the only way to get back into shape is to run daily. set goals. like for example the first day only go a mile, or go for 5 minutes, and then each day increase to milage or minutes you run. although i do advise that you take an active rest day (a day of rest where you get out and do something, but not what you would normally do) at least once every week, otherwise you could overtrain or develop an injury.

  4. practice makes perfect...

i have the same problem too...

i think we lack air or something....

    maybe we lack exercise....

but sometimes,i think i can access my adrenaline easily making me suuuuppppper fast...

    we just lack exercise...

    or practice....

lets try to practice more and jog everyday...

    :)
