Question:

How do I increase my intake of citric acid?

My doctor tells me that I need to increase my intake of citric acid; such as eating or squeezing lemons, limes, grapefruit, etc. However, eating these fruits tends to give me mouth sores and sour stomach. It is a great pain to keep these fruits from spoiling. Would anyone know of a way I could increase my intake without having to buy fresh fruit? And without the nasty pains?

  1. visit a vitamin store :)

  2. Pills. Try drinking orange juice. That helps a lot.

  3. Lemon Heads and any "sour gummy" candy, as citric acid is what is used to give them the sour taste.

Who doesn't freaking love sour gummy worms?!? I do. :D

  4. Have you tried looking for a citric acid vitamin? They probably have some at your local Jewel Osco or Walgreens.

  5. You should be able to buy them in a supplemental pill form, probably labled as Vitamin C
