How do I insert a digital camera memory card into a MacBook?

I have the Nikon Coolpix digital camera. I need a way to upload the pictures onto my macbook. but I don't have the cord. on my old computer, there is a slot to insert the memory card. how can I on my mac?

Unfortunately, macs don't have card readers built in, but you can buy one. They usually run about $20 depending on the memory card you are using. Best Buy has a good variety. They have the 5-in-1 card readers and the All-in-One. And there are some look like a flash drive with slots on the side.
