How do I install a motion sensor on a switch that turns on 3 lights

Question

I want to add a motion sensor to the front porch of my house. The problem is that the switch turns on three lights (one on the porch and two on the side of the garage). I want to add a motion sensor to allow the lights to come on. My question is: since I have to leave the switch in the "ON" position from inside the house, will this mean that the other two lights will always be on? or will they come on when the motion sensor is tripped? thanks.

use a wireless motion switch,it will control all three lights.and yes switch needs to stay on.put motion sensor is wireless and easy to install

Check Radio Shack and X10 on the Internet for pricing and info on wireless sensors.  I use X10 a lot.

If you wire the motion sensor in correctly it will control any or all of the lights.  The trick is to wire it in before the first light in the chain and it will control all three lights.  Make sure it will handle the wattage of all three bulbs though.
