How do I install a secure half- wall on staircase and along a cantilever walkway?

Sometimes you have to get real inventive. I pierce the subfloor and attach the the studs directly to the floor joist, then add bridging connecting the floor joist together. as for along the stairway the wall should be attached to the floor. not just the stair stringer.
