Mom is mobility impaired. Her house has DSL & single line analog phone (voice) service . Has 2 cordless phones & 2 hardwired extensions sharing that 1 line. Sometimes she has a cordless phone within reach. Many times she has to get up & (sometimes painfully) move to place where cordless phone was left or to nearest wired phone. Am aware that using several handsets/POTS introduces problems (involving issues such as impedance, S-N ratios, etc).I know about unpowered splitters (have seen 5x splitters) but think I need an amplified splitter/replicator/ LineDuplicator.Wish I knew the correct telephone term for this kind of device. What are my options? My dream sys involves 6 wired phones (one for voice/fax) & 2 cordless phones. Have plenty Cat5 cable; prefer to use wired phones.Another minor detail that may/not complicate the situation is pending installation of RJ31 jack for home health monitoring system. This probably doesn't affect my 8 extension plan.
