  1. You install this pickup close to the bridge as this is where the maximum of sound is picked up.

That is a good little pickup and works very well. Now, , remove the end pin at the ed of the guitar. That is the pin that holds the strap. That is where the other end of the Fishman pickup goes and that is where you plug your guitar jack.

That's it,. you are done my friend.

  2. You didn't specify which Fishman pickup you have; there are several models.  See link below for the official Fishman web site page with the installation manuals.

I had my local music store do it as it was substantially more complicated than I wanted to handle myself.  You have to take off the strings, remove the saddle, drill a hole in just the right place to get the wire from the pickup into the body of the guitar, possibly sand down the saddle a little to compensate for the extra thickness of the pickup, drill out the end pin hole to accept the end pin jack, and optionally mount the battery (if your pickup is active) on the underside of the top where you can get to it.

All of that was more than I wanted to do.  They charged me less than $100 and it was ready in three days.  I felt it was money well spent.

  3. Here are several sites that will explain installation.
