How do I interpret a dream where my boyfriend proposes to me?

I had a dream last night where my boyfriend proposes to me and gives me a silver ring with a heart on it. How do I interpret this dream? My boyfriend and I have not been talking about marriage and I do not expect a marriage proposal any time soon.

I don't put a whole lot of emphasis on one dream. They may have a small meaning at the time, because of a thought, but your future depends on your goals and you achieving them with a straight mind and heart. It sounds like you're already doing that.

Traditionally dreaming that your current boyfriend proposes to you, means that you usually want to get married, or that you love the person enough that your subconscious is considering it even if the thought has never crossed your waking mind.

Rings are symbols of promise and of things coming 'full circle'. This could be a hint toward the future of some of your big goals coming to fruitation. This could or could not have to do with marriage.

The heart on the ring was symbolic of your boyfriend 'giving his heart' to you. Silver in dreams means that you should not depend too much on money for your happiness, or that you should not let money be the only deciding factor in your big decisions.

On another note, if your boyfriend gave you a silver ring & silver is considered second best, do you maybe consider your boyfriend to be second best to some other man in your life?

You haven't yet considered marriage, but I bet now you are especially after that dream! If it is true love, and you would marry him but are worried about his financial situation, this dream surely tells you to not let money be the deciding factor.

Rings in dreams usually symbolize the relationship they represent.  I don't think this necessarily means you are going to get engaged, but that it is a strong relationship.
