I have VMWare 5.5.2 installed on my XP machine. The OS installed in VMWare is Server 2003 standard. I also have a physical server 2003 box that is functional and networks with my other PC's at home. I dont know how to join the VIrtual server 2003 to my physical server. Can that be done? If so, please explain in step by step instructions.

  1. Do you mean adding it to the Domain that your other server is on?

Is your other server a domain controller? If not then you would simply use file sharing. If it is then you have to add the 2003VM to the domain as a member server   Steps below

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324753

If you want to make the server2003 a domain controller, then you must install Active Directory ...Same link above....

I'm not experiencing the same issue. I have Server 2003VM  and I have no problem joining it to the domain ... Make sure that the Virtual Machine 2003 is on theh same IP subnet. Email me if that isn't the issue..
