  1. ISPO Membership Information

    Apply for ISPO membership.

    ISPO represents the interests of the health care team actively engaged in cancer prevention and detection, including primary care physicians, hematologists, immunologists, pathologists, epidemiologists, experimental oncologists, social scientists, and educators.

    Active Members are eligible to hold office, to vote in the biennial elections of the Society, and to serve on the various Standing Committees.

        * Members are provided continuing education through the Society's scientific activities.

        * Members may attend the Society's workshops, regional symposia, and international meetings at a specially reduced fee.

    Membership fee includes a yearly subscription to Cancer Detection and Prevention, including free online access.

    ISPO Membership Application

    Those wishing to participate in the Society's activities may apply for election to Active, Associate, and Junior membership in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and By-Laws.

    Download, print, and fill out an application form (you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader).

    Send with the form:

       1. A list of your most recent publications, including full bibliographic references

       2. Curriculum vitae

       3. Letters of recommendation from both sponsors listed, sent separately to the Secretary-General; sponsors may be professional colleagues.

       4. Initiation fees (that represent annual dues for provisional membership and include the journal subscription for the current calendar year and administrative charges)

    Election to membership is determined in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws.

    Fully completed applications, received before the regularly scheduled meeting of the Committee, will be duly considered. In the interim, new applicants will be assigned provisional membership status and will be eligible to receive bimonthly issues of the journal.

    The annual dues (membership fees) for all members should be submitted upon notification from the Membership Committee on a calendar year basis.
