When all these skateboard people do their tricks how do their feet stay on the board without falling off?

Then how do you do that trick where your feet come off the board and the skateboard spins then you get back on all in the air???

  1. there are lots of different tricks which you have to preform differently, you're probably talking about either the pop-shuvit or the kick flip (kick flip can be easily mistaken for a heel flip) kick flips are one of the harder tricks to do on a skate board but first of you need to know how to ollie which is popping the board (pushing down on the tail of the board) and then jumping while simultaneously sliding your foot up to the indent on the top of the board. it can take a long time to learn this.

to kick flip is essentially the same thing but instead of sliding your foot up to the top of the board and stopping, you have to flick your foot off the edge to make it spin. (a heel flip is the same thing but you flick the other side of the board with your heel instead). this can also take a looooong time to learn.

keeping the board under you is all about how you preform the trick and your balance. mainly you want to keep your head about directly in the middle of the board.

you can email me if you have any other questions about skateboarding.

  2. the trick is learning how to ollie properly.

when you ollie you essintially pop the board up to your feet, thats why it "sticks"

the trick you are talking about is a kickflip or something similar.

its basically an ollie with an added "flick" at the apex of the trick.
