  2. It depend on where you live and what kind of things there is in the small village in Northern Ireland. I live in the U.S.

Kids can go to like the beach with their family, watch movies at home by renting or buying a movie to watch rather than going to a movie theatre, go to the park to have a picnic, or go on a trip to a place that is near your home that have like a family deal. For example, going to the zoo with your family. So, it all depend on what kind of activities you have in your small village.

  3. The older one could get a job. You could get them into a gardening project with all the vegatables they like in it(it's very rewarding) They could read(what i will do all summer) I know its expensive but a trampoline would really keep them occupied. We have the game sims for the computer and the older one would love that. Sorry i only have suggestions for older because i am 15. younger ones could maybe go to friends houses a lot, have friends over. Thats always fun. Again......gardening!!!

  4. there are a lot of web sites, check for indoor and outdoor activities for 8, 10, and 16 year old...and baking cookies never go out of date

  5. Parks are always a good idea!

  6. 1) Fresh air and exercise. Make sure they have some outdoor toys, like balls, hoola hoops, sprinkers/wading pools, etc.

    2) Art projects. Find something age-appropriate for each of them - painting, collecting, creating, etc

    3) Summer reading. Come up with a list and make sure they spend a little time each day reading. If they're reading books you've read, you can talk about them as they go.

    4) Adventuring. If you live in a small village, I'll bet there are fields or woods or something nearby they can wander and look for bugs, birds, rocks, trees, or flowers to photograph or collect. You could also hide a treasure somewhere and give them maps and clues to find it.
