During the summer I mow the lawn. And during the summer, the bee's are obviously out. Is there a way to keep them away from you? Like a bee repelant? I was reading something on a fourm and one person said they pinned bounce (the fabric sheet softener) to their clothes and it worked. They said they hated all flying insects and the bounce kept them ALL away. Would this work? And what color clothes wouldn't attract bees? And if there is anything else that may help, Please Tell Me!! THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR ANSWERS!!!

  1. Bee's are attracted to dark clothing for some reason.  Like Black or Reds, yellow!  Also to after shave or even hair gels because of the aroma they have in them.

You could make some simple syrup and hang bottles with small holes in them so the bee's can get in about your yard to attract them to these and not you.

Simple syrup is 1 cup water to 1/2 to 1 cup sugar heat water & sugar until sugar is completely dissolved.  Let cool and place in containers.

I've never heard of lemon juice attracting bees at all.

  2. I have a garden with tons of bees in it ... and I love it.  I garden right along with the bees.  I don't bother them, and they don't bother me.  They actually help my garden.  I would suggest leaving them alone.

  3. they don't like lemon juice.
