I have a small bird house with sparrows. A few crows have been hanging aroung, with little birds in the house and all. I would like to know a simple correction that will get rid of the crow and not bother the sparrows as well.

  1. There is not much you can do to stop nature.  Almost anything you do to deter the crows will also deter other birds as well.  Also,..keep in mind crows are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and legally cannot be harmed in any way.  If these are House Sparrows. nesting in your box...they are not native and considered a pest..so if you had to protect one..I would pick the native crow species.  You can remove other things from your yard that might attract crows such as garbage, pet food or a water source.  Besides that..just let nature take it's course.

  2. Try placing a large, brightly colored stuffed toy in the area where the crows congregate.

  3. A 12 gauge shotgun works well..
