  1. If you're really hitting it that far off the heel, why are you trying to change?

  2. Either you are more upright at impact than you were at address (see above answer), or you are pushing your hands/arms out away from you on your downswing.

I have always suffered from the hand/arm push myself. In which case, a later club head release has not only helped me hit the sweet spot more often it has increased my power as well, helping keep me "down" and in my shot.

  3. You could try teeing the ball a little lower.  Sounds like you're spine angle is changing(coming out of your stance) at impact.

  4. I would definitly suggest seeing ur local pro and asking him to take a look at your actual clubs.  Clubs cannot be bought of the rack and expect to be correct for u and ur swing right away.  They have to check lie angle, loft, length, etc.  and do some custom fitting to u and ur swing.  Your drivers lie angle sounds like it may have sumthing to do with it as the more upright u r the more likely u will make contact on the heel of the club without the proper adjustments to the club.

Also, It sounds like the tendency in your swing is that at address u are fairly upright, and then u are even more upright (caused by pushing or arms and hands away from you on the downswing) at impact.  People do this as a power move to gain the most amount of distance out of their swing, when really it is unneccessary.  I would suggest getting a pro to look at your swing and they can give u great advice before you spend any more money.
