Thank you both for your answers but I have allready checked both of these, also many times I get Ie7 saying they can't display webpage and to diagnose connectivity,so my problem might be within Ie7. Also when I close (redx) page, instead of taking me back to previous page it takes me to my desktop even though I have several pages on my taskbar tks dandydan

  1. Do you have it saved as your webpage. If not find tools and click on it there will be a thing that says internet options. Click on that. Then you will see a screen that comes up with home page.Type in that box the web address that you want you internet home page to be when you first get on the internet

  2. Don't close out of the webpage.  Just type a new one in the address bar or click the back button.  It reverts to your desktop because you are closing your internet connection when you exit the webpage completely.
