I learned that it is critical to keep it humid and between 72-80 degrees F in my hermit crabs tank. My room only has a window unit and it is between 80-85 F when the unit is off. I want to keep them alive for a very long time because I got them on a vacation to Padre Island. (They are not tropical, they came from a pet store.)

  1. They can live at up to around 85 degrees but 78 degrees is ideal.to keep it humid you can spray their tank with a  sprayer and kind of mist it but with non-chlorinated water and/or use saturated sponges(you can get the sponge at the local pet store), OR put in a humidifier.  It would be safe to spray and put in sponges but if you use those two do not also use a humidifier
