How do I keep my Computer Safe and Secure?

Question

I use Windows XP Professional as my My Operating System.

So far I have all of the Patches Tweaks and Fixes it needs, And I also have Service Pack 3, Which is the latest Service pack for XP. So far I keep my Automatic updates ON, I keep my Anti-virus ON, And I Keep my Firewall ON, But What else can I do to keep it Safe and Secure? There is Disk Cleanup, and Disk Defragmenter, but those I can use when the Computer is feeling slow, So what do I do now??

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy a spyware killer for years. I have recently added superantispyware. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.0 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps

JUST KEEP YOUR PC FIREWALL ON AT ALL TIMES, MAKE SURE YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM IS ACTIVE AND RUNNING,BE CARE WHAT SITES YOU GO ON I RECOMMEND YOU USE A SITE ADVISOR! A SITE ADVISOR IS A SECURITY TOOL BAR THAT INDICATES WHICH SITES ARE DANGEROUUS AND NOT TO GO ON! SO YOU WILL KNOW WHAT TYPE OF SITES YOU ARE GOING ON!
