How do I keep my earphones from breaking?

I have an mp3 player and earbuds that go with it, but they always stop working after 3-6 months because the wires get frayed or something. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you stop it from happening again?

get better quality ones. You can't go wrong with Shure, Ultimate Ears, Altec Lansing, Westone, or Etymotics. Guarantee, a pair of any one of these will last you forever.

I do aswel but i listen to them in bed and sometimes i fall asleep on them, thats why mine break!

Get more expensive ones.  The low priced earphones have tiny wires which can't stand much strain.  Better quality earphones have braided tinsel wire which holds up much better.
