I live in Florida and it is REALLYY humid here.

like 90%.

and i have naturally wavy/curly hair so when i go outside it usually gets wavy in the humidity.

I straighten my hair so it cant be wavy.

i use this hairspray thats anti-humidity and it mostly works except it makes my hair feel as hard as a board. =/

and its really knotty so I cant even brush my fingers through it.

is there another option so my hair could stay straight when it's humid???

  1. I'm from Florida too, and i had the same thing with my hair. Just use a good straightener. Thats all i did and it stayed through everything. I think it makes it worse if you put stuff in it cause its so humid.

  2. Stay inside

  3. Well I use this one brand- John Frieda, Frizz Ease, and the Weather kind. Keeps my hair pretty weather resistant and i can still brush my fingers through it! :)

  4. after you straighten your hair, add john frieda frizzease serum. they also have straightening serum too. they both keep your hair straight and shiny!

  5. First use a really good serum when you dry hair, use a poduct for the flat iron as well with extra conditioners in it (if your hair is dry and in bad shape it will absorb moisture from the air so condtioning is important), try a good ceramic flat iron ( like fhi, or chi--i like the fhi better) one with high heat and use it fast, quick passes over small sections.  You can use a light spray of humidity blocker hold after but too much will just gum up all of this work.

  6. dont use as  much hairspay and get a chi they really work good :D

  7. No, your hair is going to revert to its natural texture when it is exposed to moisture.

Anything that would change this would seriously damage your hair - believe me, you would not like the results. Don't listen to people who tell you otherwise - they probably have something to sell.

Consider another hairstyle that incorporates your hair's natural texture.  Believe it or not, scads of women wish they had your waves!!

  8. I use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine leave in conditioner, you can get it for about 4 dollars at the drug store. it helps a little bit. It's not the most effective one out there but,I live in Texas and it's pretty dry here so it's really all I need.

Try something by Redken they have alot of products like that

  9. Buy anti-Frizz cream/spray!

I think the brand "Bed Head" has some.

  10. this is exactly what you need   paul michell skinny sirem get the genaric at sally beuity sallan i know there every where in florida i grew up there

  11. i live in naples fl !! awesome! me to! i have really wavy thick hair- try anti-humidity spray or grease helps but not alot just on the top part. I usually just keep it the way it is only brush it when your in the shower or its wet ok? Take care.
