How do I keep my kids from getting up at night and getting into the fridge?

They are 3 and 4 years old and they get up before I wake up and get food out of the fridge and take it to their rooms and make a mess out of it. It's getting out of control and no punishment seems to make them change. What can I do?

  1. Get door k**b covers and place them on the inside of their door k***s and shut the door.  They will be unable to open the door from the inside but you can open it from the outside.  Also, feed them more during the day so they don't get hungry at night.  My question is HOW did they learn to remove food from the fridge to begin with?  Are they allowed to get stuff out on their own at this age during the day?  Why aren't they being watched?

  2. lol awww

  3. Fill your fridge with really healthy stuff that they don't like! Or put a motion sensor or baby monitor so you can hear them and catch them down there and send them back to bed.

    Good luck.

  4. maybe try a real lock? that would be my only suggestion

  5. put stuff they dont like in the fridge so they wont take anything

  6. I would try a baby monitor so you can hear them when they get up. The 4 yr old should be old enough to talk to. Can you tell them they have to wake mommy up before getting in the fridge?

  7. Well it sounds like they are hungry.....try feeding them more before they go to bed. I doubt they are doing it just because it's fun.

  8. a combination lock

  9. Put healthy food in the fridge.
