How do I keep my rear fender from breaking?

I have just started dirtbiking and I have a 2006 CR85R (Don't comment on the bike) and I'm trying to learn how to do wheelies. I know it takes failing a few times to learn how to do a lot of things right and I'm assuming this is one of them. My problem is that I keep giving it too much gas and flipping it over backwards and bending/breaking the fender. Any tips to keep it from breaking?

  1. you could buy solid plastic 1/2 inch in thickness and threw bolt the fender and attach to the subframe but you may have problems with bending your subframe. I would just drill holes in the the broken piece and whats left of the solid piece and zip tie them together if it is just gonna keep happening the zip ties will allow it to move when it comes over on ya but all you have to do is learn how to not panic and hit your back brake or the clutch when you feel it coming over and it'll never happen again.  good luck... never quite

  2. if you keep looping out your bike trying to learn

to do wheelies your are going to keep bending

or breaking the rear fender. rear fenders are

not cheap you need to learn to do wheelies

    real fast.

  3. you should start by keeping your toe on your rear brake. I went over once on my birt bike and learned my lesson. I have been riding street bikes and have never gone over is countless wheelies. just keep a light toe on the brake and you will be fine
