How do I keep my sister out of my room?

I'm male, 17, and my sister is 15, and let's face it, she spends more time in my room than hers, and I'm really annoyed by it. My door does not have a lock, and I can't get one put in because I'm living in an apartment. She's always on my laptop computer that doesn't have internet, but there's a perfectly good one with internet that's always available. she always comes into my room when she wants to watch tv, when she has her own TV, and i just want privacy, I just want my room to be "my room". I tell my parents, they tell her not to go in my room, but i swear shes retarded and still continues to go in there. How can I keep my sister out of my room? I get mad at her constantly about it, i asked her nicely, but I'm starting to have enough of it. How can I keep my sister out of my room, even when I'm not home? I'm sick her always being in there. How can I make sure she stays out. I got nothing to hide, but she could be other places besides my room. What do I do???

  1. Buy a new k**b with a lock and make sure your parents have a key.

  2. Put a password on your laptop so she cant use it.  Hide the remote to the TV so its annoying.   I guess you need to eliminate the reasons why your room is better than hers!

Why does she come into your room anyways?  Have you asked her?  Maybe she likes your company rather than being by herself in her room.

Maybe suggest to her that you can have some time together provided you get some privacy also.  Ask her to knock before entering, and asking your permission before making herself at home in your room.

You gotta let her know that her invasion into your privacy is affecting your happiness..does she really want to be responsible for you being miserable?

  3. I would guess your door opens into your room.  If it does get an old fashioned door stop.  It is a wedge that keeps a door open usually, but you could use it to keep yours from opening into your room.  Ahh, face space at last.

  4. If you don't mind some "negative interaction" with your sister, go in her room and start doing things in there she doesn't like lol.... It seems childish but it will probably work and cause an argument.

If that is too immature, i suggest you put a chair to the door to jam it. Or you can put something to give off a scent she doesn't like but you don't mind smelling.

I have 4 syblings and when i clean up my room, i noticed they'd be coming in more often just to use the computer or just like go in for no reason lol... But whenever it's messy ( I MEAN DAAAM MESSY), nobody comes really, so maybe u can try that if u want. Once your sister stops coming in for a month or somethin, u can keep it a bit more tidy :).... Good luck, hope things work out
