How do I keep our kitten from getting under our bed?

Are there any natural deterrents to keep our four month old (new to us) kitten from getting under our bed? She keeps climbing between the box spring and it's lining, which is irritating, to be honest, and I do not find safe. Any hints on how to keep her from under the bed?

  1. Kittens need a place they can hide in - make a replacement place for her to hide in and try to block off the one you don't want her in.

  2. I had a kitten who used to do that.  I had a couple of holes that she would climb into and just "hang out" in.  What I did was I took a couple of pieces of paper and stapled the paper over the holes.  Then I stapled all around the edges to seal it shut.  It seemed to work.  Hope that helped.

  3. Cats have a tendency of going underneath beds, chairs, dining tables, coffee tables...anywhere they can hide and observe.  They are naturally sneaky animals that like to hide and observe.  That is how they hunt and they still do this even when domesticated.  You can keep your bedroom door shut.  That is probably the only way to keep them from going underneath your bed.  I tried everything and if you leave the door open, they will either jump on the bed with you or hide underneath your bed.  If this happens at night, you might wake up and find a wet spot somewhere in the corner of your bedroom because the cat was trapped inside your room all night and you didnt know about it because he or she was hiding underneath your bed.  They also destroy furniture unless you get rid of their front claws through surgery.  I suggest closing your bedroom door and keeping them out unless you want them to keep you company during the day.

  4. Close the bedroom door so she can't get in.

  5. i am not trying 2 be rude but shut you're door like 24/7!

  6. You can put of little boards around the edge of your bed so that she cannot get there or make an unpleasent noise when she is under there. We did that and it worked perfectly!
