Question:

How do I keep possums from getting inside?

My boyfriend's cat needs to go in and out, and so we keep the door slightly open for her. The problem is, possums come inside and eat her food, and then we have possums in the house! I don't care if they want to hang about outside, but what will keep them on that side of the door?

PS we live in a rural area, possums are quite common along with other creatures , so an exterminator would only be good for a week or so before the vermin return.

  1. I'm in a rural area too, I've learned that if the food ain't there they won't be learning to go there to eat it. Put the cat food away at night, and at other times the cat don't need it. Cats don't need to eat cat food at night that why god made mice.
