  1. Using a camcorder filming on a tri-pod is easier to use and safer, because you can retreat to a safer place while the camcorder continues to film in the danger zone.


  2. Wear rubber gloves and a rubber hat. (not kidding, I'm serious)

  3. don't fly a kite.

    don't stand under the tallest tree on top of the hill.

    you're probably not going to want to get your camera wet.

    if for no other reason than you don't want raindrops on your lens messing up the picture.

    so you'll want to be under something.

    you want that "something" not to be the biggest attractor in the neighborhood.

    i always liked sitting on my covered front porch, with something to sip on.
