How do I keep stray cats from entering the house?

Question

Not only do they dirty the nooks and corners where junk is stored for disposal, they leave their dangerous fur in the air. I hear that secretions from the cat are dangerous to the developing fetus and there are scores of expecting mothers who frequent our house for medical consultation.

I would appreciate a method which is non-violent as well as harmless to these creatures.

Hi, buddy You should record a dog sound in a recorder and play it at full volume if U see any stray cat wandering around UR house

                                     OR

Place some photos of different kinds of dogs outside your house & also use that recording effect wid them .

Iron Spikes may be embeded in their pathway if possible.I tried it, worked well.

Keep a terrier. It will frighten away the cats

Personally, I just shut my doors. Cat's lack opposable thumbs and so cannot turn the handles to open them.

Get a dog and teach the dog to chase a toy cat and each time instead of the ball if the dog brings the toy cat reward the dog every time the dog does it. Rest you will see for your self. Good luck.

while all kitten were cute but you don't like the entering kittens in the house than bring dog which kittens didn't like or if you don't like dogs too... than just shut your doors when ever it require  open the door okay.Just try it.

Get a wire mesh n also get urself a CD of a dog barking and play it reeeeaaaal loud!

If you have a cat flap,change it to a magnetic one but if the animals are wandering in,then keep doors/windows shut.Cats do not like anything citrus, so leaving lemon peel or citronella at the doorway should deter them.There are also laser products on the market that let out a shrill alarm sound when a cat passes by.

Do you have a hole in your house? You could set traps. Or perhaps get rid of the clutter. Cats love to hide in clutter.

If you set humane traps (although I have no clue where you would get some, maybe a feed store.), you can try releasing them elsewhere, far away from your home.

Get a dog that don't like cats.  

How are they entering your house?  Maybe shut the door?  I am confused.

Keep fish away.

Shut openings in the toilets.

Buy traps.

put a display card infront of the door and write it as

       "STRAY CATS ARE NOT ALLOWED."

                if this dosent work then watch TOM n JERRY!!!!
